Hi darlin’ we’re so excited to have you in salon. As a way to maintain transparency and to ensure our service is of the highest standard, we have outlined our booking terms and conditions below. While it may be a little dull to read through, we promise it’ll ensure the best possible outcome. Our top priority is delivering your dream hair though sometimes it’s not always straight forward. Cancelations & Rescheduling
We understand that life happens. However, to respect the time of our stylists and other clients, any cancellations or rescheduling made within 48 hours of your appointment will incur a 50% fee of the booked service.
No-shows or same-day cancellations will be charged the full service amount. Please note, any late cancelation or rescheduling fee’s must be made prior to making another appointment.
If you’re sick, we completely understand that this is unavoidable - we will likely reschedule you free of charge. We trust our community are respectful of our business and time. However we kindly ask for as much notice as possible so we can offer your spot to another guest.
Results, Adjustments & Refunds
Hair color is a collaborative process and outcomes may vary depending on your hair history, hair care regimen, hair type and condition. While we will put everything into achieving your dream hair, please find color reference photos with a natural base similar to your own and the same goes for haircuts. We are here to help if you’re having difficulty understanding what to look for.
Please note, we do not offer refunds on services. Products may be exchanged if they are unused and unopened.
Not completely in love with your hair? Please let us know - don’t feel bad! We do offer complimentary adjustments - these must be requested within 7 days and completed within 14 days of the original appointment. Adjustments are offered at the stylist’s discretion and do not apply if the result is impacted by unshared chemical history or unrealistic expectations.
Aftercare
Proper aftercare is essential to maintain the health and longevity of your color. Professional products are recommended and discussed during your appointment. We cannot guarantee results if aftercare advice is not followed. Please be cautious when buying from third party storefronts - there have been cases where the products are not authentic. We can assist with this! Buy straight from our preferred online providers and brands.
Previous Treatments
For your safety and the success of your color service, it is essential that all clients disclose any prior chemical services, including:
Keratin or protein treatments
Hair “botox” or glossing services
High porosity due to over bleaching/lightening
Bond builders (e.g. K18, Olaplex, etc.)
Henna or metallic dyes
Fashion/vibrant color
At-home or box color
Chemical straightening or perming
Smoothing treatments
These treatments can significantly affect how your hair responds to lightening, toning, and coloring, and in some cases may cause unpredictable or adverse reactions. Failure to disclose prior chemical history may result in uneven lift, compromised condition, or unexpected color results. Please note that results may be unpredictable and therefore it could take multiple sessions before reaching your dream hair. It is important to maintain realistic expectations and to trust in the process.
Unpredictable Reactions & Hair Integrity
We use the highest standard color brands such as Redken, K18 and Original Mineral. While every effort is made to maintain and protect the health of your hair, Mikki Auld Hairdressing cannot be held responsible for outcomes affected by:
Undisclosed previous treatments
Extreme porosity or product buildup
Compromised hair condition prior to service
Compromised hair porosity (color will likely grab and fall out much quicker than usual)
Low quality at home hair care
We prioritize hair health above all else and will always adjust our approach to minimize risk. In cases where we believe your hair may not safely achieve your desired result, we will offer alternative options or recommend a more gradual process. Test strands are strongly recommended should you fall under any of these categories.
What To Wear
At Mikki Auld Hairdressing, we take every precaution to protect your clothing during your appointment. However, due to the nature of professional hair services—particularly colouring, lightening, and chemical treatments—there is a risk of staining or bleach marks. If you feel we have not taken appropriate care throughout your service please reach out, we would rather aim to rectify the situation.
Please note: Caring for clothing and personal items during your appointment is a collaborative effort. If capes/gowns are not worn properly Mikki Auld Hairdressing is not liable for any damage to clothing or personal belongings caused during services.

When booking an appointment, we may collect details such as your name, contact information, and service history. This information is used solely for providing an exceptional client experience, including appointment reminders, service customisation, and salon updates (only if you’ve opted in).
We will never share or sell your information to third parties. All data is stored securely and accessed only by authorised team members.

Extra Bits & Bobs
To maintain a relaxing space for all, we kindly ask that only clients receiving a service attend their appointment unless previously arranged. Our salon space is not equipped for young children or extra guests.
Pricing varies depending on time, hair length, and product usage. We recommend a consultation for an accurate quote before beginning any service. Please note, if more product is needed, this cost will be passed onto the guest.
If you’re feeling unwell, please reschedule your appointment. We reserve the right to refuse service in cases of contagious illness or scalp concerns that may impact your or others' safety.
A 9.75% sustainability fee is added to all services. This fee helps cover essential business expenses such as freelancer taxes, administrative costs, and operational resources that allow me to keep my pricing accessible while maintaining the high quality of work and products you receive. This small surcharge ensures I can continue offering premium services at some of the most reasonable rates in Los Angeles.
Please note, credit card and card reader charges are passed onto the guest.
